Get Off Your Phone and Go Skiing

The mountains are finally opening here in Oregon, and I’m pretty sure it has been a dry season for most of the United States. I cannot wait to get my baggy snowpants on, throw together a fit, and do some damn K-Feds. My buddies are already skiing, but this time of year I’m with my family—or rather, I get to be with my family—and we’re driving ironically close to Mt. Hood where my cousins live. But I don’t have my ski gear with me, so no laps there for now.

My first day on the hill will be December 31. People sometimes ask me what my favorite part of owning a ski apparel brand is. Honestly, my favorite thing is traveling to different resorts and seeing people wearing ski gear and snowboard apparel that I designed. It’s a great feeling and an instant connection point. The skiing community is what makes the sport so fun. Skiing with friends, rivals, people better than you, and people worse than you each bring their own flavor.
Let’s talk a bit about our 6th Edition baggy pants and this year’s design decisions. This season, we’re introducing our new fabric: DURAMAX 2.0, a Cordura and ripstop blend engineered to maximize durability and waterproofing. The new fabric is sturdy and holds its shape well. One challenge during the fabric search was finding something that flowed enough to avoid a boxy look but not so flowy that you could see the outline of your legs when you’re skiing fast. Our previous fabric, DURAMAX, achieved that balance, but we were still running into issues with crotch rips and long-term waterproofing.
So we developed DURAMAX 2.0. By combining the durability of ripstop and Cordura and boosting both waterproofness and water repellency, we landed on a fabric that performs exactly how high-end baggy ski pants should. I also wanted a fabric with a denim-like feel. A lot of ski pants and snowboard pants use light, soft materials that honestly do not last long and rip easily. And if you ski hard—especially with wide, baggy silhouettes—cuts at the ankles are inevitable.
We’ve designed around this with double-layered ankle reinforcement, but even that cannot survive the worst slashes. One option would be an extra-thick rubberized or waterproof canvas, but the stiffness creates weird bunching at the bottom of the pants. Instead, we offer free repairs on all products. So even if your pants take damage by the end of the season, we’ll happily fix them:
-
To keep you wearing and enjoying your ski pants longer.
-
To keep them out of the landfill and reduce waste.
Let’s talk a bit about the different styles we’re offering this year. To close out 2025 and celebrate the Chinese calendar’s Year of the Snake, wedesigned a super snaky pair of baggy snowpants featuring five different embroidered snakes. The pants are black with either white or red snake embroidery—subtle enough to stay clean, but eye-catching enough to spark conversations on the chairlift. Naturally, this collection is called The Year of the Snake.
Going into the new year, we’re introducing more pants in our track-pant style, starting with our light purple baggy snowpants. These use a lavender fabric with a side stripe that includes reflective pinstripes—lightweight, stylish, and built for skiers and snowboarders who want both performance and steeze.
We’re also dropping a pair of bright neon green snowpants inspired by high-visibility construction gear. I’m super hyped about these, though I’m a little curious how they’ll sell considering how loud they are. With reflective striping down the sides, they’re a bold “look at me” statement piece while still staying clean and functional. This is the type of trendy ski gear that stands out on any mountain.
Other styles we’re dropping include pink camo snowpants in our duck-camo pattern, as well as more pants featuring our angel-wing design. We’re releasing pink angel wings, red angel wings, and purple angel wings—each embroidered on black baggy ski and snowboard pants for maximum contrast and style.
There are a few more fun styles coming, but I’m not going to spoil everything here. Sign up for our email list to get early notifications when new pants drop—you won’t want to miss them. A lot of our ski pants and baggy snowpants have been selling out in just a few days depending on the style.
Stay steezy,
